Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026. This policy describes data processing in TWINKLE, including voluntary social connections and Google/YouTube OAuth.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the TWINKLE public website, TWINKLE Launcher, related APIs, player profiles, referral features, store, support and social connections. Third-party services are also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
2. Data we may process
- TWINKLE account data and identifiers required for authentication, including a Steam identifier and display name;
- profile settings, privacy choices and social accounts voluntarily connected by the user;
- technical Launcher and API data such as client version, installation identifier, update state, diagnostic/security events, IP address and request metadata required for operation and security;
- game and service activity required for profile, store, referrals, events and related features;
- support messages and information voluntarily provided by the user.
3. Social connections
Connecting Discord, Telegram, VK, Google/YouTube, Twitch or other supported services is voluntary. TWINKLE receives only information required to verify and display the connection and authorized by the user on the provider's official consent screen. TWINKLE does not request or receive passwords for third-party services.
4. Google and YouTube APIs
For YouTube linking, TWINKLE uses OAuth 2.0 and the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly scope. The application may obtain the channel ID, title, image and other channel data available through the YouTube Data API that is required for a verified social connection.
- TWINKLE does not use this permission to upload, edit or delete videos;
- TWINKLE does not receive the user's Google password;
- Google/YouTube user data is not sold or used for personalized advertising;
- access can be disconnected in TWINKLE and revoked from the user's Google Account permissions.
TWINKLE's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube API use is also subject to the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.
5. Purposes
- authentication and session management;
- operation of the Launcher, mods, updates, profile and game services;
- verification and display of social connections;
- store, referral, event and support functionality;
- abuse prevention, error investigation and infrastructure security;
- compliance with mandatory requirements where applicable.
6. Sharing
TWINKLE does not sell personal data. Data may be shared with infrastructure providers and third-party services only to the extent necessary to provide a selected function, process an operation, protect the service or comply with mandatory requirements. OAuth providers process data under their own policies.
7. Retention and security
Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the relevant feature, maintain security, resolve disputes and comply with applicable obligations. OAuth secrets and service credentials are kept server-side and are not included in the public website.
8. User controls
Users can disconnect supported social connections from their TWINKLE profile. Google access can also be revoked from Google Account permissions. Data deletion or correction requests can be submitted through the official TWINKLE support channels.
9. Public website
The static website at `tw-core.ru` does not use advertising trackers. Standard web-server logs may contain network metadata required to deliver pages, protect the service and diagnose problems.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated when TWINKLE features or third-party requirements change. The current version is always published at https://tw-core.ru/privacy.
